Let's set the tone, it's a Summer evening, it's not too hot, but warm enough to feel the sun on your skin. You're outside, rosè in hand, and you have nothing but time, and a new book to crack open and read. Whether you're lounging on a patio, laying on the beach, or curled up on the couch, sometimes a good book is the best relief to give our mind a bit of a vacation. In warmer months, I tend to read more. Mainly because I enjoy sitting on my terrace and reading a book, rather than reading on the couch (personal preference).
In wanting to curate a series to celebrate books to recommend, I came up with Literary Cocktail Hour. Where I'll discuss book recommendations, best reads, books for seasons, and more. So in hopes to add another book to your queue, here are five books I would recommend picking up this Summer.
Blend of Recommendations
The 5AM Club: Own Your Morning. Elevate Your Life. by Robin S. Sharma
Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones by James Clear
The Wives by Tarryn Fischer
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
The Daddy Diaries: The Year I Grew Up by Andy Cohen
Amongst the hodgepodge of recommendations, hopefully there is a book on this list that peaks your curiosity! I have personally read all of them, and found them to be quick reads, and more importantly, enjoyable. I look forward to hearing if any of you decide to pick one up, and if so, your thoughts!
Until next time friends,
