I'm a Homebody, so?

Home is where I am the most happy, where most of us are, in fact. There's something about having our own sacred space (home, room, apartment, etc) that soothes us having all our favorites within four walls. Can you tell how much I love my home by the way I just talk about it, jeesh, talk about a homebody.

However, I am coming up on almost five years of living in my apartment, and boy, let me tell you have I learned home decor tips and tricks, and styles that work and just do not for me. For example, a white fur rug SEEMS and LOOKS beautiful, but the upkeep? I'll never do that again. Light couches? Also a no for me. Yet I feel like I've officially established the perfection combination of cozy chic in my apartment, that just fits me perfectly. I took a poll asking about which blog post wanted to be seen first, between this and my favorite podcasts, and home decor won without a doubt - so without anymore rambling...

Let's get into all things home decor, from the bigger items I've splurged on, to the everyday items making me smile.

First I wanted to talk about the little 'nooks' of my home that have become some of my proudest decor moments. First being my entryway table, I have (and probably will always continue to) changed this around so many times, yet the way it is currently brings my heart such happiness, and joy to the front of the home. My LAGERFELD Coffee Table Book, was a birthday gift from my aunt, along with the Birthdate Candle, which is such a BEAUTIFUL smelling candle, though I feel guilty to even burn it. The fresh roses pictured are credit from my boyfriend for a little Valentine's Cheer, but if fresh flowers aren't there, I always have a tiny pampas grass floating around my apartment that I place there as well.

Investments

A larger investment in my apartment was “The Mirror“ - which my family graciously gifted me for my birthday last year, however it is probably the best thing I have in my apartment, and would recommend it to anyone and everyone. If you dont know what The Mirror is, it is an at home virtual gym system with pretty much any and every workout you could think of, with live and on demand classes! It truly gives you no reason to not workout, because the gym is in your home, and you don't have to bore yourself with the same workouts. If anything, I'd definitely say check it out, by far the best, and they're constantly updating what's on the Mirror.

I also have my "at home workout section" (which is just a table with workout equipment, with my workout clothes, and cute decor). The table I got was from HomeSense, which was on sale, and I loved it. On the top, I kept it simple with a diffuser I got off Amazon, 'Pure Enrichment Himalayan Salt Ultrasonic Diffuser;' and if you're curious what I'm diffusing, I'm almost always using 'AromaTech Santal' which is delicious, it's a bit pricy, yet worth it, because a little goes a long way and lasts quite some time. I had also found these gorgeous light up glass vases, which are just as gorgeous in person, and I used one to display my crystals that aren't placed around my home.

On the second shelf, I have my workout equipment, which consists of...

On the last shelf, is a container, again, thanks to Amazon, which are 'mDesign Plastic Home Storage Basket' with all my gym attire so that is easy to access!

Last thing on the larger investments scale that I want to talk about is my couch. Being that I do live in a New York studio, I wanted something that dualed as both a bed, and couch, and what I got? I couldn't dream of anything better. Like I originally stated, I had a couch prior to this, and it just didn't work out, the color, style, maintenance, etc. So I searched, and searched, and searched until I found a new one. One day I stumbled upon this one, and fell in love. This is the Charcoal Modular Sectional from Home by Sean & Catherine Lowe, from Wayfair. This was back ordered for weeks, and I waited forever to get my hands on this baby, and then the day finally came...

This couch is everything I could ask for and more. I call it "the pit" because once you're sucked in, very rarely do you want to move. It's durable, easy to maintain and clean, pet safe, the material is comfy, and perfect for so many more reasons. I typically have the ottoman either out (like pictured), or pushed in for a bed type vibe.

Now let's discuss some little things around the rest of my apartment that are must have's, make my life easier, or cute decor. Some items are thing's I've picked up throughout the years, and I wasn't able to find links for all of them, but I linked similar items!
